Whether you’re with a school, university or looking for a corporate away day, Lisvane & Llanishen Reservoirs is the perfect venue for group visits.
We can tailor a visit for school and university groups of any age and ability, offering high quality equipment and expert tuition.
For corporate away-days, we can curate a bespoke programme of team-building and activities in conjunction with the client.
We also welcome Brownies, Guides, Cubs and Scout groups, as well as Duke of Edinburgh, Women’s Institute, u3a and everything in between.
With free on-site parking when booked in advance, mini-buses and small coaches are welcome.
Sessions are organised around the requirements of each group and can include a combination of activities or courses eg to achieve governing body qualifications.
For a basic introduction to a water activity, we suggest a 45-60 minute taster session.
We recommend approximately 60-120 minutes per activity for a more in-depth experience with an emphasis on developing skills.
For land activities, we suggest between 30-60 minutes per activity.
Risk Acknowledgement: Every participant must complete an acknowledgement of risk form before taking part; these can be submitted via email in advance or handed in upon arrival.
Water Activity Footwear: Participants must wear suitable closed-toe shoes, such as watersport-specific shoes, beach shoes or old trainers. Flip-flops and sandals are not permitted.
Safety Gear: All water participants must wear a buoyancy aid and anyone under 18 is required to wear a helmet.
Wetsuits: Wetsuits may be provided based on the day’s weather and temperature.
Swimwear: Please remind all participants to bring their own swimwear for under the wetsuits, plus a towel.
Land Activity Clothing: Wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes; note that the orienteering course involves a longer walk from the centre.
Weather Preparation: Come prepared for the forecast with essentials like waterproofs, suncream and sun hats.
Refreshments: There is a café onsite which sells hot food and a range of hot/cold drinks. Please allow time to order or collate an order prior to lunchtime to ensure your group may eat at the same time.
To help ensure your visit goes without a hitch, we ask that all groups pre-book no later than 2 weeks in advance.
Pre-booking for large groups is essential please.
